Chevrolet Warriors Kick-start the season!

The Chevrolet Warriors have kick started the season with a 4 day game against the Bizhub Highveld Lions at NF Oppenheimer Ground, Randjesfontein in Johannesburg. At lunch today the Warriors were on an impressive 441 runs for 7 wickets and were showing no signs of slowing down.

The side was also lucky to have so many Protea players available for the first match of the 2009/2010 season namely Johan Botha, Wayne Parnell, Lonwabo Tsotshobe, Ashwell Prince and Makhaya Ntini.

Justin Kreusch was on top form scoring 17 four's and 2 sixes while his partnership with Johan Botha put 150 runs onto the total. Not to be outdone, Arno Jacobs smacked 25 four's and collected 119 runs off 171 balls. Coach Russell Domingo and the fans can certainly be proud of their Chevrolet Warriors for bursting onto the scene with such vigor and eagerness to play and to win.
