Chevrolet Sponsors the St George's Park Band

Thanks to Chevrolet, the ever popular St Georges Park Band has received new instruments and a brand new look!

With a new saxophone and tracksuits for the entire band, they have a renewed sense of unity and professionalism, which means they will offer an even more of a vibrant presence at the grounds.

Jonathan Africa, the band team leader, along with a few of his musically inclined friends formed the band in 1994 and played their first gig at an Eastern Province vs. Border match.

They initially started out as a Church band, but after this match they soon became a household name at Axxess DSL St George's and can now be heard at all matches played at the stadium.

"The band is really excited about the sponsorship from Chevrolet and we are definitely very proud to be wearing the new tracksuits," said Jonathan. "We also know that we have forged long term relationships with both Eastern Province Cricket and Chevrolet and they motivate us to do our best, he added.

The band raise their money through sponsorships and donations and rely heavily on public support - so next time you are at a Chevrolet Warrior match be sure to cheer not only for the players but also for the band that is lifting their spirits.
